This is a day of celebration from start to finish! We thank God for all the blessings shared in music, word and the sharing of Christ's Holy Communion open for all! This is also Confirmation or Affirmation of Baptism Sunday - St. Mary's celebrates with 8 young people as they affirm their baptisms together with Kendra Richter, St. Mary's Youth Director, Pastors Hartfield and Miller-Stubbendick! Congratulations!
The service begins with a music prelude by St. Paul's Brass Ensemble (00:04:00). Announcements follow including the message to attend a very Special Meeting of the Congregation where we will vote for the calling of both The Rev. Dr. Jordan Miller-Stubbendick as the Lead Pastor and Pastor Debbie Hartfield to a permanent call as part-time Associate Pastor. That is June 1 after the 9:00am worship service!
Confirmation ceremony at (00:12:55 - 00:25:20). The service continues with the reading of the holy scriptures at (00:26:17) by Dave Frost. Pr. Jordan reads the holy gospel & her sermon message at (00:32:22). The Adult Choir currently under the direction of Deb Black, sings "We Belong: The Apostles' Creed" at (00:45:06). St. Mary's youth choir "A Chord with the Lord" sings "The Blessing" at (00:54:44). Enjoy the remainder of the service concluding with a brass postlude "A Mighty Fortress is our God" at (1:21:04).
